Floriculture in Meghalaya

The climate of the State, particularly the areas near Shillong in East Khasi Hills District, are well suited for cut flower production.  Proximity of Shillong to Guwahati and possibilities of restart of the Umroi Airport near Barapani, have strengthened the required infrastructure support for marketing of Floriculture Products from the State.
