Industrial Infrastructure in Meghalaya

To obviate the problem of prospective entrepreneurs in acquiring site for industries, Industrial Estates and Areas and Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) and Growth, Centers have been created and more are likely to come in the near future. The following are the existing Industrial Sites.

  1. Barapani Industrial Area with an area spread of over 44 Hectares.
  2. Growth Centre at Mendipathar, in East Garo Hills  District
  3. Industrial Estate in Shillong, Jowai, Mendipathar, Tura and Nongstoin.
  4. Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) at Byrnihat with an area spread over 259.35 Hectares was in operation from April, 2001.
